Khia'ru tes Tualth'eni Khia'ru is a young Adrastai, and new to me since the Gating. I'm not sure where he ranks, but it couldn't be any higher than second level, maybe not even that. There's nothing wrong with him except being young and inexperienced. He's never actually fought in a real battle as far as I know. A few missions and few maneuvers and Kharie'l will have his head on straight. Khia'ru is serious about his physical training and has an eagerness for improving his skills with his blades. He has enough sense not to challenge anyone above his current rank to an honor duel yet though. He knows the elder Adrastai would eat him for lunch. If I were there all the time, I'd speed up and intensify the experiences he has magickally and spiritually right now. I think he needs that to impress further upon him the seriousness and deep honor of his position. I don't think he takes the commitment to being Adrastai seriously enough yet. That will come as he gets a little older and gets injured a few more times. Right now, he's still cocky, still impressed with his own skill and the rock star glamour of the Adrastai. It gets him attention and he likes that, maybe a little too much. He is watched closely by the higher ranking Adrastai who actually fought in the Shadow Wars and Kharie'l. They don't let him, nor any of the other new ones like him out of the barracks, armory or Temple areas too often. Adrastai like Khia'ru have to earn dinners in the Great Hall with exemplary behavior. Khia'ru and his fellows spend a great deal of time repeating the basic forms, reciting their honor codes, and learning how to keep their weapons and uniforms clean and in battle ready condition. Kharie'l takes them on long hikes, teaching them how to run swiftly and silently in perfect formation. I shall suggest to Kharie'l that he take them into the Temple and have either K'antor or the Maidens play the records of the Shadow Wars in their minds from the library crystals containing the memories of those who actually fought. These new boys need to know their history. They need to know threats are still out there, and that they are the first line of defense. These new boys just don't understand that well enough. They think they know why they became Adrastai, but they don't.
