Ras'ithi'el tes Kesperion

Raz is a clansman of both Torlinque and Captain Kharie'l, one of their more distant cousins. He joined "my" squad upon the death of Takei. He has earned 3 of the possible 4 marks of rank. Therefore, he must still attend morning practice every day, but often leads several squads in some of their drills and helps train the less experienced Adrastai and new recruits in their forms and blade techniques.

He also drills the newer ones in their honor codes, making sure they know them backwards, forwards and literally recite them in their sleep. He lives in the main house, but is responsible for taking his regular turns with the others of his rank to wake the new recruits, lower and non-ranking Adrastai who live in the barracks.

Raz performs many of the same duties as drill sergeants in military organizations here on Earth, however, he also has the sacred duty and honor of being a Temple Guard.

Niktai is Torlinque's shiftmate for Guard duty at the Temple every afternoon (except Mondays which are their regular day off), but when he or Torlinque are scheduled to be off (or are given off spur of the moment by the Captain), it is often Raz who fills in for them.

Raz has the characteristic red and green undertones to his skin with gold overtones common among the Kesperi'oni. His hair is naturally a light auburn, but he overlays it with wineberry juice to make it redder. He has the green eyes of his clan, but they are a light leaf green. He is at the taller end of the height range, standing about 6'5", and has facial structure and build that leave one with the impression of his having more squared off features than most. Most Kesperi'oni prefer not to wear braids, but when Raz does sometimes, he puts 4 or so cornrows on each side of his head over his ears and puts lots of beads in them, letting the long braids fall down behind with the rest of his loose hair.

He is an excellent fighter in open combat, very strong. He puts lots of strength behind his blade work using his height and slightly greater bulk to his advantage. His magick is fairly good, but he is better at the more overt forms than those which are more subtle. He would not be good for spy work, but his diplomatic skills as an ambassador and courier are very good.

He is seen here in uniform at the top of the Temple stairs in Guard Position. He will hold this position stock still, with fakhai'n at the ready and always right-over-left, for his entire four hour shift.

When he is not working, one may usually find him in the Great Hall of the main house with friends or lounging and swimming at the hot spring. When out of uniform, he usually wears long dangling earrings and a heavy gold signet ring that was his father's. He is very kind, always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needs it, but he can be charmingly roguish when he wishes.
